Weekly events
Volunteering and Learning at The Barton
Every Tuesday. 10.30 - 4.00 pm
Come along for as long as you wish and learn about the techniques and practices for growing organic vegetables on a commercial scale. Gain an understanding of the rotations, green manure and composting techniques for building fertility and learn about the varieties and planting schedules we use for continuity of supply. Meet outside the Shillingford Organics offices. Come suitably dressed and prepared for physical work. Lunch will be provided!
Love Local Food Outreach
The Love Local Food Van is visiting schools, community groups, health centres, places of work, churches and childrens centres in Exeter with a exciting range of food activities. This can include :

Explore cooking, creative activity and stories in one of our outreach sessions.

Once again we are off on the playday trail working alongside organicARTS. This time we are in St Thomas Park cooking vegetable kebabs. Should be great fun!

Harvest Open Day
West Town Farm are holding their Harvest Open Day. This is a great chance to explore a local farm and engage in a whole range of interesting activities including feeding the pigs, tractor and trailer rides and discover the art exhibitions linked to Devon Open Studios including the field of 1000 clay cows!
